Add border around forum?

I would like to add a slim silver border around the areas in red but cannot find the code to do so. Are there any codes that would do such just to these areas?

Go in Administration Panel -> Display -> Colors -> CSS Stylesheet and add this :

box-shadow: 0px 0px 6p #ffffff;
}

Tried it but for some reason its not working...

I've lost a x from 6px , sorry , replace #ffffff with a hex color.
