Members Seeing Ads @ Ad Free Group
Group Name: Taggers Gone Mad
Group URL:Â http://www.taggersgonemad.com/
I've had a member to tell me that she is seeing ads at our group.
According to the admin panel, it is supposed to be ad free until March 2014.
What I don't understand is that beneath that date, it says that "the ads are not disabled."
Apparently the ads have just started to appear today. Â
What do I need to do to get them disabled again?
I found this info at Misc. - Spend Credits
Details
Ads are disabled for your members until 04 Mar 2014.
The ads are not disabled.
Thank you in advance for your help.

Re: Members Seeing Ads @ Ad Free Group
If you have paid to disable AD's then they should be disabled. Though if you paid to disable them for members only but not guests, guests will still see them, but member who log in should not.
It could be that your payment was decline though I don't know,as when I used the service I did not have a problem. Also when you make the transaction it takes effect right away,so the averts should be disabled.

Do you have any third-party codes in customized widgets? Sometimes there are codes that will cause ads to appear.

Thanks Andrea and SLGray.
I paid for one year ad free back in March, so it wasn't declined. The problem just started today for some odd reason.
And, SLGra, I don't think I have any codes in the widgets other than the site traffic counter that is on the portal page...but that has never caused any ad issues.
I can't think of any other 3rd party widget codes.

Then it must be a fault on the site, sometimes there are glitches on the FM software. It will need to be fixed by the support team.Cin007 wrote:Thanks Andrea and SLGray.

Go to AP>>General>>Configuration>>>
On that page make sure the "Activate ads" is set to "guests". if its not then do so and save your settings.
If you have a setting there to deactivate the ads for guests also, then tick that one instead. Either way make sure you have the settings to not show ads for what you're paying for.

Re: Members Seeing Ads @ Ad Free Group
Hi Andrea and Runaway. Sorry to just be getting back here and thank you for your replies here.
I think it was just a fluke because the member who saw the ads yesterday is not seeing them now. The other members were not seeing the ads.
I did double check at AP - Genera - Configuration and do have that set properly. I did not pay for Guests not to see ads since we are a private group.
Thanks again everyone and I appreciate your replies and suggestions.
