How to change the number of posts ?

One of my members told me to take notice that the number of his posts went down

I do not know how and would like to give him back is real count

Is there a way for me to do this

There is no way to alter the post count, it could have been that his/her post were deleted by a moderator on your forum, have you tried to check it?:
Admin Panel > General > Security > Moderation

Yes... you are right
we did some cleaning in the older posts and I think it is what happened ....deleted the nembers of posts
Most of us lost posts  ..so everything is OK
