So you can now log into your forum, but not the administration panel?

Please don't double/triple post. Your post need to be separated by 24 hours before bumping, replying or adding more information. Please use the edit button instead!

That was the case yesterday after the "forgot password" option but now i get redirected again. So in other words i have no control anymore over my forum.

Whats strange is that i see some members did made post since this issue.

Solved Re: Adfly page

Post by TagListed November 5th 2013, 8:46 pm

Forgot that i have a test profile there so i logged in with that one and there is no problem. Also in the admin panel i didn't see anything different.
I can actually see when i log in the admin panel and the dates and times are correct.

What i know now is that with my (creator) profile i have this issue and no other profile has the issue.

Is there anything we can do about this?

I am a little confused now. So you have two accounts? The founder account is working correctly, but the other one is not.

No my creator profile TagListed is the one with the problem. Next to that i once made another profile Test Profile to check some changes i made on the forum back then and i just never deleted that test profile.

So i can log in with my test profile with only admin rights, my creator profile with all rights is the one hacked.

That is really weird, do you have any scripts/widgets which contain scripts that are external? External scripts can be modified at anytime by the host.

It would look like this:

HTML:
Code:
<script src="SCRIPT LOCATION"></script>
Javascript:
Code:
$.getScript('SCRIPT LOCATION');
If so I would recommend backing them up, and removing them temporarily to see if there is any change.

I had 3 and removed them, problem is still there.

How can it be that its only my creator profile that has this problem and all other 341 members have no problem at all.

Hmm that is very strange. So to clarify this adf.ly is only occurring for u1(founder), correct?

I wouldn't necessarily say your account is at risk, but these links are for displaying ads which generate revenue. How they're there is beyond my knowing currently.

Yes correct

Is there anything that can be done on/with my u1(founder) profile from out forumotion?

The only thing i can think of is making my test profile my main profile but then its not the founder profile.

Update:

Tonight i went in with my test profile and there in the admin panel i disabled the Confirm password to administration access section.
Then i logged out and choose the forgot password function for my founder profile.
After logging in with given password i could right away go to admin panel where i changed the username, email and password. This helped even after restarting browser couple of times and logging in at my forum.

Just after a while the redirecting thing kicks in again bwi

I even have adf.ly skipper add-on on my firefox but it doesn't work.

Also i filed a complain at the adf.ly site so lets see what there responds is.

As for now im out of options.

It sounds like this the spam/questionable account activity filter system that Forumotion has installed.  After you press the skip ad button on the ad-fly page, what exactly happens?

Then i get back to my forum and not being logged in. its a virtual circle.
Its weird that through the forgot password option this problem doesn't occur until the next time i log in.

This morning i changed the email on my founder profile (i can get in after the forgot password option) and its still working until now.

On the other hand i am at my work pc now so who knows that has to do something with it. Tonight when im home i have to realy see if its solved.

This is a reply on adf.ly forum:
http://forum.adf.ly/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=23453#p68167

Update:
Now i log in from home and the problem seems to be solved, still cant believe changing the email solved the problem :|

This is the responds from adf.ly abuse ticket:
Hi,

The free forum service you are using, monetizes their website using AdFly.

Kind Regards,

AdF.ly / x19 Limited CEO
So maybe somebody in forumotion fixed the problem or was it me by changing the profile email?

Hello TagListed,

Your forum is still available http://www.taglisted.eu/
When you get a adfly page, it means your forum doesn't fit with ToS. There is absolutly no link with hacking. If your forum is not breaking down the rules, Adfly page will not appear.

Regards
Buttercup

I understand now that there was no hacking.

Do we know what caused the problem and what actually solved it?

Anyway the problem hasn't occurred since last week so its save to say its solved.
