Solved TOS - warning still there

Post by havensgrove December 11th 2013, 6:10 am

About two weeks ago, the paypal account I used to buy credits in my admin panel was stolen just 2 days after buying credits and applying it to a domain name. There is a warning in my admin panel that says in 4 days my forum will be deleted because a violation of TOS in connection with bank fraud.

I've tried to find what was wrong and even updated my new paypal and bought the credits that were owed but the message is still there.

Very worried about my forum, please help. Any direction on what to do is also very welcomed.

When does the message exactly say that you need to have the violations removed? What exactly is your forum about?

Solved Re: TOS - warning still there

It's a wolf role playing site, havensgrove.forumotion.com

We thought we fixed the problem once but then it only escalated to this bank fraud warning when it was MY account that had been stolen.

The countdown says that:

" Dear "havensgrove.forumotion.com" forum administrator(s), it appears that your forum doesn't respect our Terms of service. Our service is free, so we are urged to only display legal content on the forums.

Element(s) detected on this forum : Bank fraud

You have until the 15-12-2013 to be in conformity. After this delay, we will have to delete your forum if it still isn't in conformity. This warning will only disappear after the end of the countdown."

I'll try to attach a photo if that helps.

Well then if you have fixed the issue, then you have to wait until the litigation team rechecks your forum. Did you discuss this with Butercup?

I did but she didn't give me too much direction on what to do :c I practically guessed on why my forum was violating the TOS and assumed that the paypal incident was the reason behind the warning.

Have you had anyone complain about making donations to your forum?

Never ever, that option isn't even an option for my members. I'm the only one who puts money and credits into the forum.

The message from Forumotion will remain there until the litigation team rechecks your forum on or around the date stated in the message.

Hello Havensgrove,

The warning is just an information that our team has a look at your forum. It doesn't mean your forum will be delete.
We have already talked about it through private message.

So, we can consider this topic as solved.

Thanks
