[size] bbcode disappearing in edit mode

Hello there,

My forum's users are currently experiencing a problem with BBcode: Whenever a user (moderators, admins, and/or regular members) attempts to edit a post that contains the [size] code, the [size] code disappears in Edit mode.

The following are some screenshots that further explain the issue:

This text contains 24px-sized text.


However, when you click Edit, the [size=24] code is nowhere to be seen in the post.

It's happening in all browsers.

Is your forum version phpBB 2? Have you edited any templates, added any codes, or added any widgets?

Yes, it's phpBB2.

We've made many edits to the template of the forum, but those edits were done long before this issue occurred, and we haven't touched the template for months. The only additional widget we have is the "scroll to top" widget, but this was also in effect before this sizing issue popped up.

As for adding codes, those codes only affect the appearance of the forum, like font colors, image sizing, etc.

I have checked your Scripts and CSS, but have not found anything which could cause this. The issue may be coming from your templates. To check this do the following :

Administration Panel > Display > Templates > General

Find the option 'Force the default templates' tick 'yes' and save. This will not delete your modified templates, but only disable them temporarily until you tick 'no' to allow them again.

When you have done this, check your editor to see if the problem persists.

The problem still persisted, even if all of the default templates were turned on. I personally do not think that any of our modifications are effective or powerful enough to alter the text editor.

It would happen even if I created a new post.

For example, if I created a topic with various text sizes at this moment, submitted the topic (to be published), the text would be fine. But as soon as I go to edit that topic, the [size] tags disappear altogether.

(I am an administrator on the site as well).
