In progress Redirecting to a new forum address

Post by DarthAnt66 January 28th 2014, 10:58 pm

I just bought the domain starwarsforums.org from the "Domain" option in the "Spending Credits" tab. As of right now if you type in starwarsforums.forumotion.com, it will still link to the form without the address changing to starwars.org. How do I make it so when you type in starwarsforums.forumotion.com, it will change to starwarsforums.org?

Not answering my question:
"Once activated, your forum is available with both url (previous & Custom)"
How do I redirect my previous url to my current one?

It can take up to 72 hours before the process is complete.

No I understand such, just when you type in my original forums url, it stays at the original. When you type in the new, it stays at the new. How do I redirect my original url to my new one, so the ".forumotion" will no longer not appear, regardless of which url you type.

Hello,

If you bought a new domain name, the old address will automatically be redirected to the new domain name. Your members will automatically be redirected to the new link.

When you search: http://starwarsforums.forumotion.com/ it does not redirect you to www.starwarsforums.org

Hello,

Did you set this setting?:
(Admin Control Panel --> General --> Address --> Personalized Domain Name --> Force the URL redirection --> Yes)
