Message Inbox Capacity
Hi
Good afternoon, everyone, lemme hear some #Swag!
Anyway, I didn't know where to put this exactly , but I'm really having a bit of a problem with the current message/inbox capacity . I know there are some others like me who always get a lot of private messages (Whether for support private messages or for other purposes)... so would it be possible for this support forum (Or any other support forum) to make the inbox capacity more or at the very least for a selected few ?
This would be my basis why I want this implemented:
You see that I received a lot of messages already even though I've only been here since February (2 months) and I really didn't expect to receive a lot of mails already. I could easily erase my messages but I have to have most messages kept (They actually occupy at least 88% of my mails as of now) for many purposes and in case I encounter someone that I might file a report against (As one of the purposes which I'm starting to feel will happen to me soon) .
So yeah, please implement this as this will be very useful !
Thanks so much for reading ~
Regards,
Pizza Boi

Re: Message Inbox Capacity
Hi Pizza,
Unfortunately you cannot modify the size of a PM inbox, however you can move a message to the "Save box" if you don't want to delete it. Although it has a limit of 50 messages as well.
This would however be a good suggestion

Hi
Well, generally, the ideal use of Savebox (For me) would be to save tutorial codes that I'm collaborating with someone; however, I also collaborate with them outside FM, but I still need the Savebox for other purposes.
Hopefully, this would be put into mind as I really cannot save them just as screenshots simply because of the need for proof AND because I move from computer to computer (Which is why it's sorta hard to track down my IP) .

Re: Message Inbox Capacity
As an alternative, how about creating a ms word document (2003 format .doc ) with all your documentation in it, you can save your codes (In a non condensed form, just change the font size) and upload to a free could such as Google cloud?
You can download it anywhere on the internet.
Or you can save said file in your email address?

Re: Message Inbox Capacity
Hi
I would but the main problem is that those take time to load. If you were checking my recent posts, I actually use my phone a lot (For providing support) so the best method for me is to read it here because one of the perks of using Forumotion is because of its fast loading.
I tried other alternatives, but as I said, it loads very slow for others because of the use of Flash, other hosts such as Weebly, vbulletin, Word Press and whatnot would be good but even on computer, it already takes me minutes for a page of theirs to load.
Basically, Forumotion is very versatile and is easy loading, that is why I want to read my Forumotion and other things in this place whether I'm using a laptop or on phone.
Sure, MS Word would suffice, but as much as possible, I'm trying to save my own memory(ies) as I use my laptop(s) and other materials for medical papers as I am after all, a medical student.

Pizza Boi

Re: Message Inbox Capacity
Hello,
Should this be in the suggestion section instead? Since we can't do anything about the limit...

Re: Message Inbox Capacity
Hi
Well, to be honest, with Forumotion's slow pace of implementing some suggestions, I'd rather keep it in this section since this can still be classified as a problem.
I'd like to receive a go signal from Buttercup before anything else, please, then you can move this .
Thanks for understanding!

It does not exactly say it, because it is stated in the administration panel.

Re: Message Inbox Capacity
Well there is really nothing we can do about this, I don't know if Buttercup will classify this as a problem and have it implemented/fixed as soon as possible, the fastest way for suggestions like this to be implemented is for it to be posted on the suggestion section and get other members to vote for it, technicians implement suggestions this way. Though I believe that this was already suggested.
But as you mentioned, the implementations of suggestions lately have been slow since there are only a few technicians, the best thing to do is to keep supporting the suggestions.

Re: Message Inbox Capacity
Hi
But that was dated back in 2009... and it hasn't been implemented yet .-. . Wouldn't starting a new topic be better, I mean, it's gonna be a year since anyone would bother posting on it again.
But, it's up to you, you can trash/lock or just have this as the new topic for it, I don't mind either way.

Pizza Boi
