Delayed Newsletters

Hello,

Forumotion is proud to share with you a new update to send delayed newsletters.

What is new?

This new option allows you to schedule your sending newsletters by choosing the date and the hour.

STEP 1: send a delayed Newsletter

Administration panel> General > Newsletters

[New option] How to send a delayed newsletter? Write_10

1- Select "Yes" to send a delayed newsletter
2- Select the date of sending
3- Select the hour of sending
(Of course, date and hour must be in the future not in the past)
4- Write your newsletter
5- Press on preview or send

Delete

Please note that the date format depends on your profile choice!

If you choose the option "No" the date and the hour are removed and you're sending an instant newsletter as previously.

Now, your newsletter is registered in "Tracking and archives" section. Please read the next step:

In the legend, scheduled sendings are represented by a clock:

A new section for delayed sendings has been created. Your scheduled newsletters will stay on this section until the date and hour of sending you have previously chosen. You can update or delete your newsletter if necessary. After that deadline, the newsletter will move to the savebox with the other newsletters.

You can make the difference between instant and delayed newsletters thanks to the clock:

Please note that you can send 3 newsletters every 24h

Some limits

Please note that newsletters, whether immediate or delayed, are not immmedialtly sent after the admin clicks on "sent". It is possible there is a gap between the scheduled sending date and the real arrival of the newsletter...

Indeed, to avoid a blacklisting of forums by email providers, we must create some waiting lists for each sever and we treat newsletters by block (according to the order of arrival).

Therefore, it is possible that the sending & the receipt of the newsletter be not instantaneous. Moreover, NL appear in archives only when they are not yet on the waiting list.

Awesome! We 'll be glad to have the delayed posts also! If this feature gets to posts also it would be perfect.. But still this is an awesome feature.
