Hello all,

I could find the option to change the maximum avatar dimensions, but not the maximum filesize.
Is it possible to change this? (Maybe even via CSS?)

The maximum file size is about 67KB at the moment, which is not much at all.

Thank you for your time and answer in advance,

Hello,

From what I recall you cannot change this value.

If you want to have a larger sized image as your avatar you can use the following option :
Editing the avatar maximum filesize. Captu114

This allows you to hotlink an avatar from another image host.

Hi,
I have not problem with the file sizes as you can always save them as JPG.
Sometimes using avatars with the image size of 185x300 pxls.

But I have problem with the URL-link size.

How is it possible to expand the window where to write in the link?

Normally all the off-site URLs-links are much longer than the little box.
It would be great to use the long URLs instead of loading the avy direct from the pc.

I have tried to search on here for the info but with no luck.

Thanks for looking into this!

A long link should go in the box.  What do yo mean by not fitting in the box?

Most of the links in the "graphic world" are very long and I am on other forumotion forums too and there is not any problem but on my own forum it is. I tried to find a setting somewhere but with no luck.

I mean link like this (I added two dashes so it will show as text)

http://  i215.photobucket.com/albums/cc21/sonja_swede/avy-sig/summer/AlehandraVanhek_summerflowers2_avy_S-UC.jpg
(I think 106 letters/figures and then .jpg)

This is what goes in the little box:
http://  i215.photobucket.com/albums/cc21/sonja_swede/avy-sig/summer/AlehandraVanhek_summerflowers2_av

Any idea?
Or I just have to save them elsewhere?

Thanks a lot for taking your time Smile

Could you save them with a smaller link?

Yes of course I can but I thought maybe there is a setting somewhere.

I will ask the other girls who are running those forums where they changed it as I can have even longer links on there.

Thank you so much for answering this!

I might come back with info for others who might wonder Wink

Have a nice day!

Oh I have to add that I copied and pasted the link into my profile on here and it is NO problem.
There are still space after it...
Could it be the skin I am using ?

Hi,

Thank you for your reply.
Too bad that such an option is not included. Your hotlinking suggestion sounds fair to me though, so I'll just recommend that to my users. Very Happy
