Hello Shivers58,

Please provide the following information :

  • The URL of your forum
  • If possible the URL which the webpage hangs on while loading. ( e.g. waiting for illiweb.com... )

Solved Same loading problem as before

Post by NancyB September 9th 2014, 10:54 am

The last time I posted in the help forum was about this same problem.
My site is allaboutbigbrother.net. Additionally this site, the support site is also doing the same thing.
Very slow loading. If you select the "stop loading this page x" then the page can be seen.

Archived thread when it happened before: https://help.forumotion.com/t134390-forumotion-pages-slow-connection

Perhaps this will provide a clue.
In the Post reply box, no icons appear.  On my site, the box itself is only two lines long.

I did a screen capture.  On this site I can only do this using the quick reply box.

As you can see, nothing but a small box appears.

For me the webpage is constantly waiting on illiweb.com today, kind of a hassle, but I'll pull through for the moment.

Hi there.  My forum HERE is also having this problem.  It's been a couple of days now.  It's incredibly slow to load, if at all and I also have no icons or anything in the text/reply boxes.  Some of my members can't get on at all.

I have also found the same problem getting on here.  Very, very slow to load but the text box icons are showing ok.

I have tested your site and have seen no Slowdowns it is running fast and smooth.
Please clear your browser data and try again. also can you please tell us what browsers you use ?
if you are using Firefox look at the bottom of your page you will see a bar telling you what is loading in your forum if it is taking a long time it will say something like "waiting for FM.com" please tell us what it is saying when it takes a long time.

Post by Lorraine September 10th 2014, 11:47 pm

Hi Ape, thanks for reply.

My members are using Explorer and Chrome.  I myself, use Chrome.  I have cleared my browsing data but the problem still exists.  Very slow loading and no icons or anything in my text boxes.  I also have the problem getting on here still too.

Strangely enough, as mentioned by somebody above, when the browser is changing pages, it just goes to a white page and sticks there, but if I click on the cross to stop loading the page, it then appears.

We too have been afflicted with slow loading over the last couple of days. It's intermittent, sometimes half an hour or more, and sometimes just 10 minutes or less.
