[IMPORTANT] Change of Datacenter
Change of Datacenter |
Dear Forumotion members In order to perform our service and to have more stable forums, we have decided to change our datacenter. In parallel with the datacenter change, we will also replace some old servers for new, more powerful servers. The technical studies are now over. So, this project is currently in the testing phase in order to finalize the last details before the forums migration on new servers and the new Datacenter. During the migration, there are some risks of whitepages, slowdows, or forums not available. That is normal Do not fear, everything is simply under control of our technical team . They are doing their best to make the migration fast and easy.. This maintenance is scheduled for today (September 30th) Please note: - Creation of forum is not available within 60 minutes - Don't upload skin via Hitskin this morning During the migration, we will inform you via our social networks: Facebook - Twitter - Google + We strongly advise you to inform your users of this maintenance. Once the migration is over, your forum will be more powerful and stable! Best regards ForuMotion Team |

Its not promotion its an unfortunate side affect of the date centre switching and information being sent from one server to another.
Just because you paid for something doesn't mean you're entitled to special treatment, its your option to remove ads.

Re: [IMPORTANT] Change of Datacenter
Hi
http://shadowracingrsa.africamotion.net/
I realize you are transferring data but my forum does show up, only problem is everything is all over the place and it looks like the theme is missing? Is this normal? We really need it up and running by this evening if possible. Could you just check it and tell me if it will come right please.
Thank you so much.
Kevin
EDIT: I just checked on IE and it works fine, but Firefox just won't work now? White page with writing all over the place? Any way to fix it?
Please help.
EDIT AGAIN: I had to reinstall a new theme. I think the data transfer destroyed our last one. Looks ok now.

Re: [IMPORTANT] Change of Datacenter
No problem with you guys updating - it has to happen occasionally.
Just a quick question - my forum is showing (www.kitchenwitchhearth.com) but all the widgets are missing - will it play catch up or do I need to add them all again?
Thanks

Re: [IMPORTANT] Change of Datacenter
Your report has been sent to my pro admin
She will get back to me in the morning
also we have seen on the french forum that some other members have also had the same problem so it maybe a problem with a new server we have just had put in place.

Re: [IMPORTANT] Change of Datacenter
I think it has something to do with my security. It works fine when I turn it off, but as soon as I turn it back on I imediately go offline. I've got Avast Free antivirus... And that worked just fine before.
Re: [IMPORTANT] Change of Datacenter
Could be down to our new servers try adding your forum to the safe sites on Avast antivirus and see if it lets you in then.
Re: [IMPORTANT] Change of Datacenter
My forum is all at of whack. People are able to post in my administrative lounge and they are not mods nor Admins. I need some help please.

I have and everything appears to be correct.SLGray wrote:Everyone needs to recheck all settings in the administration panel.
Also, I have customized my forum. Different groups, colors among other things. Will this all make the change over to the new datacenter? As of right now it has not.

Re: [IMPORTANT] Change of Datacenter
Is the migration what is causing all the hitskin icons to show as the little blank page pictures instead of what they are supposed to be? Cause, that's happening to our forum. Pics I've uploaded to use in place of the defaults appear just fine, but the ones that are still what came with the skin are 'file not found' image. Just curious if that's something to just leave alone and it'll self fix or what.
Re: [IMPORTANT] Change of Datacenter
Let's wait and see what our Pro Admin (Buttercup) says.
