FORUM Got Deleted

Just today it has come to my attention that the forum I longed supported was gone..

Is this due to the tons of copyright infringement mails I receive where no actions were made?

need reply asap.. where should I go? I can't leave those users hanging. I need the forum back por favor.. thanks

You have probably used copyright items in your forum. To prevent your forum from being deleted, you must remove all content which is copyrighted/breaching the Terms of Service.

Yeah my mistake for not deleting those items. But what shall I do now because the forum was already deleted.. There must be something that can be done, I would like to get the contents of the forum. Does restore or backup work?

Your forum has been deleted so restore or backup won't work.

You should of taken it seriously and done something when you got the tons of emails warning you about the copyrighted items.

I'd say at this point your out of luck.

Adding on to what DustyBones said, you would have to create a new forum since it has been deleted.

Well sure but, what would a deletion be useful for if you can revive it? Im not 100 percent sure it can't be retrieved, but i am 99 percent sure, sir.

Hello Chronoz,

You can bump your topic if no reply has been made after 24h. As for your forum deletion, if it was banned for breaking the terms of service you would see an Online Guardian page, saying that it has been banned. The link you provided redirects to the creation website.

I have a question :

Were you the founder of this website or a member ?

I am the founder. but I was not in touch for couple of weeks now.. until today that I was informed that the forum was gone

Is it possible to make a backup of your forum, you should see an option to make a backup. If you can't then I believe your forum will be banned for good.

Yes I can see the backup and restore and trying to select one option and nothing happens after I click Validate

For the backup type, did you choose a full backup ?

As Ange stated, you should see a full backup. Forumotion provides backups daily, so long as you changed something, or where receiving posts during that moment.

Using the forum utilities will only work if you deleted the forum. not if your forum was ban.

After checking the database, I confirm that the forum was deleted by the founder.

Simply, if you deleted it, you can restore it. If it was banned/deleted, you cannot retrieve it. You'll need to make a new forum.

What is the furthest backup that you selected ? If you know the date it was deleted, choose a date before the deletion. I'll make a deletion on one of my forums, just to make sure it's working.
