Solved Bug: HTML tags don't stay in Site name

Post by Ramdaman November 5th 2014, 2:08 pm

Hello, I think I've encountered a bug. When I went to my Administration Panel => General => Forum => Configuration => Site name, I placed some span IDs. I went to my CSS Stylesheet, added my codes, but when I went back to my Site name, the span tags were gone.

The issue here is not that the Site Name option doesn't allow HTML tags, (because when I saw they were gone, I went to the forum index and the stylized CSS code for those span IDs were still there), but that they disappear after you save it and go to another page.

This is an issue because now I need to edit my tags again but they are gone. I know if I touch something and save it the coding will mess up.

I believe it does not work in the site name, but the site description.

Hello Ramdaman,

While it's possible to add HTML tags in the site title, it is not recommended. The title is used as your forum name, but also displays in the tab title. ( You'll notice it in the AP ) You can edit the style of the site title in the forum through other selectors, templates, or javascript.

Alright, cool. I'll try the templates since I did notice the ACP title was displaying the tags.

Topic solved.
