Review Section is Now Looking for New Staff Members! Apply Today!
Review Section is Now Hiring! |
Dear Forumotion Members, Due to lack of reviewers within the review section Forumotion has decided to open applications for the hiring of new volunteer reviewers in order to bring the sections full potential up. As a member of the review team you're obliged to complete reviews and also moderate the review section when you have time. As a reviewer you must be: =>Polite to all members and staff =>Dedicated to doing reviews =>You must have the time to carry out reviews (No point in signing up for something if you don't have the time in the first place) =>Have good communication skills and be able to come across clearly to the reader of the review. =>Able to supply a review if you're accepted into stage 2 of the review hiring Requirements: 1) Not have any current warnings (If you've appealed a warning you've received in the past then you can sign up) 2) Must be aware of the Review Section Rules and the General Rules 3)Must be active on this forum and within the review section 4)Must have been registered for 3 months Application to be sent to me via PM
What will you get if you're hired as a reviewer? You'll get this awesome rank and your name will show up as this colour Important Notices => Please be advised after you've sent in your application if you're picked to move onto stage 2 of the review hiring process you'll be asked to do a review of a forum given to you via PM, after this stage has been complete we will then review your review and pick the most suitable candidate. => If no suitable candidate is found then we are under no obligation to hire. => Your application is to be sent to me via PM (Click Here). => Please ensure you fill out all fields of the application and if you wish to withdraw your application then please send a PM to myself. => The deadline to have your application submitted is the 9 January 2015. => If you have any questions then feel free to drop me a PM or ask in this thread. Good Luck! Regards The Review Team |

Re: Review Section is Now Looking for New Staff Members! Apply Today!
I meet all the requirements, except the 3 month prerequisite. Guess I'll wait for the next time there's a staff position open.
Re: Review Section is Now Looking for New Staff Members! Apply Today!
@Eugeo Ayano,
Hey there my friend. Just to let you know. Although you may not be able to be hired as you don't meet 1 of the requirements, try applying anyways. I worked for ForumPromotion and we still let members submit an application when they first joined the forum. This way, if we ever needed a new staff member, they already had an application and we could look at it again to see if they meet the requirements then!
Best of luck to you and all who apply!

Re: Review Section is Now Looking for New Staff Members! Apply Today!
indeed, but doing so implies reading carefully thr instructions left by Derri. As to where to send the candidacy/CV.
But as English knowledge is a must, better be his 1st language. or if second language, master it as it it was his mother tongue. Because reviewers with poor understanding won't help.
I am thinking to apply and sending my CV using the info on page 1 (instructions), but will do so next year

Re: Review Section is Now Looking for New Staff Members! Apply Today!
Hello,
@Derri, a question about this. Who will review the reviews send by those who applied and who will decide who will get the position or not? Will there be a vote by the Staff or some Staff groups will decide?
Thank you,
Luffy

Re: Review Section is Now Looking for New Staff Members! Apply Today!
i think the answer is in the 1st message of the thread but I can be mistaken.
although I am interested in the post as well and consider applying, I think normal members have no right to intervene in review section. I saw a post which i maybe have the answer to questions but felt that if I did post something the Help forumotion staff would not appreciate it.
so here goes my question, if we can reply and/ or have answers, or can provide assistance can we do so?
Thanks.

Hi Luffy,
What will happen is come the 9 Jan, I'll announce here that applications are over and that those who've made it to stage two will be contacted via PM and they'll be asked to review a forum that we'll give them. Who decides who makes it to stage two? All staff members are welcome to give their opinions and we'll discuss it as a team and come to a conclusion. When we get all the reviews then we'll review the reviews as a team and then as a team we'll see who're the best candidates and then we'll eventually pick.

Hello @Derri,
After the time duration candidates have to apply and after you give them the forum to review; how much time will we have to make the review?

We haven't decided on that but you'll definitely have a good amount of time to do the review. We understand that people have other things to do in life that are more important than reviewing.

Having applied I think you both for the question/reply as this may apply to me.
Another question in mind, can reviewers act in help areas if they know the answers (by help, i did not mean moderate)...
Although it did happen once on the french board that a graphic designer intervened on a post outside of her section because members were going crazy.and had to be put back in check

You can answer support questions etc but you can't but moderate i.e if you see someone double posting then you can't give them a reminder as that's a support mod/managers job. You can only moderate within the review section.

Re: Review Section is Now Looking for New Staff Members! Apply Today!
great thanks for the deets' Derri ! It is well noted.
But helping people who are not in check with the rules of the section is also not possible, (ex i see an incomplete request, I tend to leave it alone)...

Re: Review Section is Now Looking for New Staff Members! Apply Today!
Hello,
I've read some comments and I thought I'd share something.
One thing I must stress is the fact that reviewing does take time and its not something you do in a spare 5 minutes at the end of the day. Its somewhat of a demanding job as you can go a few days without requests and then suddenly find yourself with 2 or 3 requests. I'm not suggesting that anyone withdraw their application but for those who are really busy to begin with, you need to ask yourself, is piling more onto my plate the best move? If you're already busy, is taking on more work, a good thing?
Forumotion and I don't expect anyone to work everyday but at the same time if you're going to be constantly busy then it might not be best to sign up to something that is demanding like reviewing. You can take time off for various things such as personal problems or busy with school or university as its much more important than this.
I'm just saying to think about if you've applied and if you'll have enough time to dedicate to doing reviews because like I said it is something that does take time.

I'll keep my application too. I have a good balance of time with everything.
Re: Review Section is Now Looking for New Staff Members! Apply Today!
Hi, more so, I think I'm so motivated to endeavour this new challenge that I am willing to rake a short training course in forum reviewing.
I am not going to ask anyone on this forum, but may get a chance to pass a "training" at a french FM forum which does provide such certificates/trainings.
In case needed, I can update once I find out more on that.
Thanks for allowing us, and giving us a chance to apply!
