In progress questions about user tagging

1. Which letters/special signs are allowed for the tag to work?

2. One of my users has a space in her username and the tagging works while another one too has a space and the tagging doesn't work with her username... what is up with that?

Hello @rhe,

These are some examples that don't work :
@test@sd.com
@<3Natalia<3
@#Natalia (# Hashtag will be taken into account not @)
@ won't be taken into account inside code

In most cases you can quote the username for it to work. Example :

@Ange Tuteur
Code:
@Ange Tuteur

@Ange Tuteur
Code:
@"Ange Tuteur"
Ange Tuteur
Ange Tuteur

As Ange described above you must use quotation marks if someone has a space in their name for the tag to be taken into account.

But I cannot test the usernames like that, with a quote. It only works then if there is a user with the name.

There is no need to test the names we have tested it for a long time and if it works on this forum then it will work on all of the forums As already said if there is a name with a space in it then you need to do it like this
Code:
@"Ange Tuteur"
or if the name has a underscore like this APE_Man you do the same thing
Code:
@"APE_man"
if you really insist in running a test then make a test account on your forum and test it Wink
