[BUG] viewcomments_body - Doesn't show the hours:minutes of a message

Hello

In the "viewcomments_body" template, related with the "Blog" categories, there are some variables for the date (for instance, {postrow.displayed.POST_DATE_DMY_VALUE0} ) but i notice that the variable for the post hour:minute, like appears in a regular forum posts, is not showing.

It only display the date (like 03/10/2014), not the hour of when the post was made (like appears in any other topic created on a regular forum category)...


For instance, when we publish a post in a forum here, we get something like this on the top:


Note that appears the date (in this case is Yesterday, but can also be the regular date like 16/01/2015) and the time when the post was made (9:15 am).
In a "blog type" forum only appears the date, not the hours of the post.

I think this is a (little) bug. Its little but also annoying for those that use that function. 
Doesn't hurt notify about this.

Yes you are right. Try adding this next to the date and see if it works while inform someone to check it out.

I believe the blog does not show hour and minutes. It only shows the date.

It's still work in my page. First post's only show the date, not time, but comments will.

Also, the "POST_DATE_NEW" variable is in the main template, but doesn't do nothing related with the time. In fact, he doesn't have any output.
As it is in the main template, it should be working or, at least, producing some output... But isn't.  

There is some variables for the date ({postrow.displayed.POST_DATE_DMY_VALUE0} and others), but the "POST_DATE_NEW", that should be for the time, doesn't do nothing.
The same variable in the "viewtopic_body" template shows the date and the time...

The comments are not affected and still works as normaly, and they are using the same variable (xxx.POST_DATE_NEW).
So the same variable is showing in the comments the time, but not in the main post of the blog.

That is what we are trying to tell you that the first post in the blog shows the date.

Yes, thats right and i have understand. But the main post of a blog not always have output only the date. In the past i it was also the time...

But the bug is in the the POST_DATE_NEW variable.
Test in a template to see that the variable doesn't produce any output, when it should output the time... The date is from the "POST_DATE_DMY_VALUEX" (change the X for the number 0,1 or 2).

The "postrow.displayed.POST_DATE_NEW" is there in the default template, so it should output something, but isn't. In the past i remember that the time also appears in the first message.
And the fact that the variable is in the default template shows that it was working before, but, for something, doesn't work any more.
Thats the bug, not the date.

I am afraid it's not a bug but the way it is designed. The element {postrow.displayed.POST_DATE_NEW} is only showing the date and not the time. In all the forums you will get the same result.
I tested this to a PunBB test forum of mine and i had the same result:

Maybe i didn't explain well, but the variable "{postrow.displayed.POST_DATE_NEW}" is NOT outputing nothing. He is in the main template, but doesn't have any work, when it should output the time.

The date that you see in your image is related with the:
-{postrow.displayed.POST_DATE_DMY_VALUE0}
-{postrow.displayed.POST_DATE_DMY_VALUE1}
-{postrow.displayed.POST_DATE_DMY_VALUE2}

I think you mixed things up. {postrow.displayed.POST_DATE_NEW} displays the New date and time of the comments. What you are mixing it up with is the subject and why it is not giving something out. Let me explain you something with the image of the code in the templates. You see this is what we have now:

is the calendar next to the topic title. Now the element you are talking about: {postrow.displayed.POST_DATE_NEW} is displaying the time of the NEW posts that are posted after the title. Which means that this code works as soon as you post a reply to the topic. That posts gives you the NEW post date. The date the topic title should get are the lines of code i provided above. SO this particular element show you only the time that the new post has been posted. Not when the topic was posted.

Now i understand what you said, but is still incorrect about the bug itself.
And i think you have misunderstood the variable.

The comments section have they own "POST_DATE_NEW" variable. In this case "{comment.displayed.POST_DATE_NEW}".


As you can see in the image, the "{comment.displayed.POST_DATE_NEW}" variable is what shows this in the replies:



This variable shows ALWAYS the time when the post/reply was made, not the "last reply" as you said.

The "{postrow.displayed.POST_DATE_NEW}" should have output the exact same thing but on the post title.
If you try reply to the blog post, it still didn't have any output, becouse is not the function of that variable.

The variable "{blablabla.POST_DATE_NEW}" is to show the time of when a post was made, NOT the last reply.
You can see this on a regular forum post, and in the template "viewtopic_body".

Test it in your test forum to see what i mean.
