Description of problem

#hi guys, so i have paid to remove the copyrights.

i'd like to know how i can put my own links there. and also edit the remaining ones.

for example the phpbb copyright link, i know that needs to remain, but can i not link it directly to the phpbb site, as it goes via forumotion at present, which is okay, but i have paid to remove that. and would like i said like to direct it to phpbb main site.

You can add your own footer links in acp-->Modules-->Footer links-->Configuration

As for the phpbb link I do not believe there is a way to do this lawfully without breaking forumotion's TOU. Even though paid for the links to be off the phpbb must remain untouched. Sorry

You can add footer links via the ACP --> Modules --> Footer Links --> Configuration

You can't remove those links I'm afraid as by our ToS we need them. Removing copyrights doesn't actually remove them just 'Free Forum' 'Free Forum Support' etc.

It's a shame it can't be redirected back to phpbb official site, as in turn thats the cms being used. i know its heavily modified by forumotion, but its still phpbb base cms.

If you want you could add any link you want that redirects to the official site but you need to keep that also!

actually you might be able to change the url but e have to wait on buttercup because by law they forumotion is required to have a link to tell what phpbb is they had two choices make there own or use the phpbb site .. as you see what was chosen so changing it to the official phpbb site should be fine ..but as i said we will have to wait for the ok from Buttercup to make sure

i'll leave this thread open until we have heard back from Buttercup then. it's something i hope can be resolved

Just so your aware Buttercup will not be in until Monday (tommorow) French time, as she has the weekend off so you will have to wait until monday morning at least.

The reason why it does not directly link to the official phpBB site is because it is a modified version by Forumotion.  It does this for punBB and Invision, too.

i understand that. but am a bit dissappointed with the system.

as before i made payment this is what your greeted with

"Details
Forumotion links (copyright) are activated for your forum."

And after.
"DetailsForumotion links (copyright) are disabled for your forum until"
So its there in writing pretty much that "forumotion" copyright should be turned off. i'm more then happy to link back to phpbb. but feel that what it states within the ACP is false information. and could even be argued mis-sold.

Thank you. i have fully read the thread that you posted.

i shall wait until the powers that be reply. as i'd like to speak to them but i think i have a solution but i will discuss that with whom it concerns

(P.S Theres alot more respect in this thread, and it wont go in the same direction, as the above!)

Indeed, it is not possible to remove this footer link. You can find this information into the following tutorial:

Please note: 

It is mandatory to have "PhpBB, Invision and PunBB" and "report an abuse" links. Removing copyrights from your administrative panel won't remove those links. 
By cliking on PhpBB, Invision and PunBB links an informative page about forums versions will appear.
Those pages are on Forumotion website. Be aware, you cannot remove those links.
