In progress Problem with favicon and voting images

Post by Diana March 8th 2016, 12:40 am

First topic message reminder :

1. I've set a new favicon for my forum but it doesn't always appear. It mostly shows the green thought bubble. I very rarely see the new one (a blue V letter in a box). I've cleared my cache and everything but it doesn't help. I'm not the only one with the problem. How do I get it to show the new one only?

2. The voting (+ and -) images on my forum don't seem to change either. I changed them via css. I don't have the urls to the old images anywhere in my acp so why are they still showing? The new ones appear only when I hover over the old images. Again, I'm not the only one who has this problem. How do I get it to show new images only?

Hello @Diana, one option you could try is a new reputation system that counts votes found at the link below.
https://help.forumotion.com/t142870-improve-the-reputation-system-so-it-counts-votes

About the favicon. I see nothing wrong with it I would like to suggest that you clean your firefox. Clear all cache, browser and download history, cookies, and form and search history. This should clear up some space for your browser to fuction and load things a lot faster.

On Firefox: https://gyazo.com/29af644c2e213ee1501ce78c103252fb

Hopes this helps,

Thanks for the reply @Legionheart

The favicon thing is sorted.

Is there a way to keep the "old" version of voting? Or what could be the reason it's not working anymore? Is it cause of the update?

It could be if you had the images and its probably a simple procedure but I don't really know that. Sorry.
