Post by axeMaltesse March 20th 2018, 5:05 pm

Hi All,

I have recently blocked Ads on my forum (by mistake) and since then favicon on the page is not appearing properly. Instead of Favicon problem PbMyN0t I have green chat box. It doesn't change when I am using custom favicons provided by forumotion as well. Anyone has an idea why? Forum to follow: www.psrace.com

Thanks

So that is what I see: Favicon problem IRSYyjP. I think that it can be related to my chatbox and not working JS for automated login, it appeared when I was chatting and now it's not disappearing

Hello,

Do you see that for the whole site? Also it is normal for the defaults to appear if your in the admin panel, so if it happens only in admin panel then that is normal.

Also you could try clearing your browser cache, this solve the problem possibly.

Hi @Brandon,

Yes, I can see it on all site, I have removed all JS files from the chatbox, but the icon still appears on top. I have removed all cookies, cache, storage, mainly everything what I could remove is done. The icon is still not right.

Not sure why you can't see it as we can all see it fine on firefox chrome and Edge / IE

removing the Ad's and adding a javascript will not remove that icon as None of them are linked to that setting in any way.

Hello axeMaltesse

It comes from your personal modifications. Indeed, you broke the whole structure of the forum. Scripts and other resources (including the favicon) are no longer called in the <head> part of the forum.

I strongly recommend that you fix this because it can break all the SEO of the forum in addition to ask various concerns as for the favicon.
