3 Questions re: SSL Certificate + Domain Name
I purchased an SSL Certificate on Feb 6th, 2017. The Secure Notice appeared on the web browser next to my url address.
Then I purchased a domain name, Feb 6, 2017. The Secure Notice disappeared.
Feb. 8, 2017: This notice appears: Your SSL certificate is being installed. As soon as it is configured on your custom domain name, you will have access to your forum HTTPS protocol configuration options.
I pressed the Delete button for the Domain Name b/c I thought purchasing a domain name would interfere with the SSL Certificate. Then I resynchronized the forum.
How long will it take to receive the Security notice back to https ?
Is it necessary for me to own a domain name with the SSL Certificate?
Can my account be credited since I no longer want a domain name?
If my forum does not require a domain name with a SSL Certificate, I prefer not to have one.
It's my hope to have a smooth transition from http to https.
Thank you so much.

Re: 3 Questions re: SSL Certificate + Domain Name
Hello,
No relationship between buying the domain name and the loss of the secure label! You have really rushed by removing the domain you had as the certificate activation can take up to 4 days. Unfortunately, no reimbursement for the domain or the certificate is possible.
On the other hand, we can put you back the domain on the forum if you wish. If this is the case, please contact a moderator with the whois info of the domain + the url of the forum by asking to open a ticket to the pro staff to recompose the couple forum / domain.
Thank you
