well, to edit the style you can use the inspecione element, go to ACP > Display > Colors, about templates you can find at the bottom of the nav.

he wants to color each category with a different color
via css and javascript 
and he is curentlly usining this  Tutorial

and he wont the color to be on all the category  not just the the header
