When the problem appeared : This problem was caused when I went to purchase a package with my credits that I had bought, yet it redirected me to my Paypal account.

Description of problem

Hello,

To begin I find your forums very easy to use and I've used your forums before a few years ago. I've bought credits using my Paypal and thought that I would be able to purchase a package using the credits that I have bought, however that does not seem to be the case. When I went to buy the package using my credits, it basically told me that I had to go through Paypal and subscribe to a monthly subscription which I am not opposed to. I cannot find exactly how I am to use the credits on my forum considering I cannot use them to purchase the package I wanted nor can I use them when I am attempting to purchase no-ads and other add-ons to my forum. They seem to be basically useless unless I am to purchase a custom domain, which I had planned to do when I would purchase the premium membership with my credits.

Are my credits basically useless and I am now required to pay the $9.60 reoccurring fee for my forum to be premium? Is there any way I can get a refund for this so that I can purchase the credits that I need to get a custom domain and use the other funds to subscribe to the monthly subscription? I believe there are no refunds unfortunately, please read the Terms of Service.You may want to take a look at this https://help.forumotion.com/t1219-credits-management.

You should be able to use your credits for Ads/storage, is there a reason why you can't? You can only use forum credits with a yearly plan.

Is there any way to activate these settings, so I can be able to spend my credits?

If you click the area (the icon) you should be able to spend your credits. Which package do you have activated at the moment?

I have clicked the icon, it only comes up that I need to have a package to get more storage. There is no options to select any type of storage expansion. I have the free package at the moment.

Okay so go to ACP -> Misc -> Credits Management -> Forumotion Packages

You will see the various types of packages and what each package entails, at the bottom you will see that the premium package is 600 Credits / Month and that is why you require a monthly or yearly plan.

Once you have purchased a package you can use your additional credits. I'm guessing when you purchased your credits you did the following ACP -> Misc -> Credits Management -> Buy Credits -> PayPal

Sorry for the confusion, that is exactly what I did. I thought because it was 600 Credits / Month that I would be required to have at least 600 credits in my Forumotion account to get the subscription. Thus, every month 600 credits would be removed from my balance to pay for the month of package. I will have to purchase a package to spend my credits, correct?

That's correct and it needs to be the yearly plan in order to spend your additional credits.

You may be able to disable ad with your credits, give it a try and see what happens.

The problem is that you need to get a yearly package in order to use the credits that you already have in your forum.

For the monthly package, you'll need to pay by Paypal. Please read the post that ChanelW gave you before:

Hi @Ada'i sadly you can not enter in to your monthly pack with credits this is only done by paypal and NOT credits
If you see in this screen shot:


what you can do is buy a pack for one year then use your credits to add a domain name or remove ad's with your credits you already have.

sadly we do not offer a refund for credits.
