Why, for example, does the search not look for forum sections?
Why, for example, does the search not look for forum sections? sometimes a section is a subforum far from the main page. It’s inconvenient for users to find their subforums, and there are no sections in Google either. Please include sections in the forum search. finds topics well

Search engines search by strings of words, you just have to put that string in the search and all the topics where there is that string of words will appear.

What you are asking is not an option on forumotion, and not even on phpbb, the software on which most of our forums run
If you want to check the full list of subforums you have, you can check the "Jump to" selector at the end of topics, etc..
In the end, the way you organize your forum/subforum is up to each founder's desire

You can do it separately, search for subforums and profiles, or you can include it in a general search. Of course, I minimized this drawback, a menu of pages, many have their own page-button. but many inexperienced forum users, who, for example, are seeing the forum for the first time, are accustomed to portals, they expect that the search searches for everything

@poesia-verses subforums are "categories" in which you organize your topics - so this "organization" is up to you, and so it is to have the forum well organized so that everything can be easily found.
In most of the pages, there is a select element that allows you to see the whole structure of the subforums
If a user wants to see what subforums are available, they can check it in this way. The same select is also present in the search page.
There is no need to have a search of this type, because any forum will ever have 1000 subforums to look through, and the index page specifically allows you to see the subforums available.
If you want, you can create a topic or an HTML page with the full list of the subforums you are offering - but I also personally don't see the necessity of such a page, which is something that not even the main forum software provides.

Re: Why, for example, does the search not look for forum sections?
that is your job then, you need to make the forum clear enough to address the users and let them know you have certain sections
