Locking A Post
Hi Team,
How do I lock a post, so that the author cannot make any edits except the admin/mods ?
Not the entire topic or thread, just one post in a thread.
Thank you very much

Coucou @JagHelsing
you cannot manually lock a single post
You have two options:
But you cannot lock a single post specifically
you cannot manually lock a single post
You have two options:
- You lock the whole topic with the moderation buttons at the bottom of the page. In this case, after you lock it, no one will be able to modify any post
- You set the permission of the forum to "Edit allowed only to admins/mods". In this case only defined groups will be able to modify posts; otherwise no one will ever can
But you cannot lock a single post specifically

Thank you for responding.
As for the second option, lets say user makes a post.
After that, they wont be able to edit as they don't have the permission.
Am I correct ?

@JagHelsing exactly
When you set the permissions for the sub-forum, you can decide which groups can "edit their own posts"
