Embeds doesn't work

This has happened before, but twitter embed doesn't work anymore. All that happens, after I've posted, is that the url appears but not the embedded post.

I also can't embed facebook posts...or any other outside embed posts for that matter.

What is the point of having an embed option if the embed option doesn't work?

It takes a few seconds but it loads

It might on your forum...and it did on my forum...but it's not working now.

I always check in Preview first to make sure it's working...but once it's posted all I get is the url.

@jkh maybe you can provide the link to a post on your forum where we can check live

I only ever (used to) embed tweets etc in 'members only' sections, not on the open forum.

So now I screenshot the tweet and post the link.



But here's an example of what happens if I use the embed facility - most people scroll on by without clicking to see what it is, especially those who don't have twitter accounts.

Actually, it's now reverted to just the url and not the embedded tweet.

Ah yes, I've had trolling problems in the past.

The previews always work for me too, but once they're posted then they don't work. I can get round it by screenshots and links, but that's not effective when trying to embed a twitter video if some people haven't got twitter accounts.

@jkh the problem is that I don't manage to reproduce the issue, cause they work for me :ops:

Embeds might work for you in preview, but you haven't posted one to test it.

They work in preview for me too. It's only once it's posted that it reverts to url and not embed.

Other members don't use the embed bbcode, they still use screenshot and link. Heck, I only found out how to use the embed bbcode earlier this year     so I'm sure you can appreciate how sad I am that my 'new toy' no longer works for me
