Categories not visible

I can't get my categories to show up
the forums are there and the Categories show up in teh admin pannel but not on the forum itself

First of all, a catagory will not nshow up idf there are no forums within it, and second of all, it takes a few minutes for the changes to take affect.

Display -> Structure and Hierarchy-> Split categories on index -> Medium

I'm sorry I'm new at this but I didn't understand your second post at all. I set it up about an hour ago and like I said the forums are all showing up but the Categories that they are in arent

What rocket is saying is

got to your admin panel > click on the display tab > homepage tab click on structure and hierarchy > scroll down to split categories on index > click medium and save
