can i put several languages in one forum and the user will choose one of them?

You'll have to use the languages forumotion gives you.

Profile=>Preferences=>Board Language=>Choose=>Save

One option is to use the Google translate widget, if you can insert it in forum of course,
I'm using it on my webpages, here is one for example: Ernest's and Borko's webpage.
But the translation is very basic because of low support for my Slovenian language.
But I must say that all main world's languages are traduced much better.
