HTML Situation?? Huh?!

Ok, this is really, really weird. I am new at this so I don't think it's normal. On the homepage message I decided to post a playlist! (thought it would be cool :p) So you know the HTML button on the far left? When I pushed that button to go to HTML where you can make changes etc.. and then when I posted the HTML code for the playlist it didn't work...but when I pushed it again and re-posted it, it worked! >.< Uhh I think I explained that right... How do I get it to work normally??
