Give mods the right to edit members signatures ??
should mods have the right to edit members signature's
First topic message reminder :
Hi all just a little some thing i have looked over and found would be good to have on the site.
Right now the only way to edit a members signature is the member them self or a admin of the site with ACP rights.
i am asking you all to support me on having a place on the mods tools where the Mods can edit the signature's
this will help the staff when some one puts porn or some other thing in the signature that should not be there
This is a screen shot of a MCP that is on MyBB forum
as you can see you can stop the member from using the sig or just edit it
Screen shot Lost SORRY
right now the admins are the only ones that can do this ..
come on guys lets get this added to the site.

What more power would you want?
I'll be voting Yes. It's just a sig and it's annoying to have to contact an admin for such a small thing that can potentially be a proper thorn

Yeah, the admins do it, why can't the mods? Let them get something out for a reward for a change.

Sorry. No vote here. Why have Admins and Mods if they are going to both have same powers ? Just my opinion.

Re: should mods have the right to edit members signature's
well not all the time can a admin be in the site so you would give the right to maybe your Gmods or something you don't want your site removed for something that should not be in your sigs so it would be batter to have a mod help out (say your away on your holidays or your internet went down you have only got yourself as admin who would fix the problem??
anyway you have Voted no and thats fine
Thank you for your input on this

Re: should mods have the right to edit members signature's
voted yes to allow mods to disable signatures
however like others I'm against giving them straight editing rights as it's too easily abused.

I will vote to Yes. When administrators are not around and the members put some bad things there, then moderators can give actions to that matter.

I say yes, if you only have one admin on your forum, howare you going to edit 20 signatures that has something that's against your rules on your signature. Plus, you might not noticee 50 odd, if your forum's active. So that should happen.

Not that I noticed any of this, because our forum is pretty small...but I voted yes.
I can't be around 24/7, so if someone inserts anything that breaks the TOS in their sig, than it would be great if moderators could remove it.

Re: should mods have the right to edit members signature's
Moderators having the option to edit a users post is pretty much expected but what can be done when it is a users signature going against the rules? I.E, stretching the page or using a pornographic/offending image. There are always fewer administrators than moderators so I think this would be a great idea if the founder or admins were on break or simply too busy at the time with work or college (like me). We need our staff to be able to actually help us with our forums and cover our backs when something araises. So I voted yes.

Yes -- I myself am a mod on a forum, and I happen to notice the admins are almost never on and I am the one on all the time, so I have to watch over the forum. Good idea to allow that
Re: should mods have the right to edit members signature's
I'm not too sure, I'm on both sides really. Maybe you could choose which moderators can change or which could delete signatures.

Yes yes yes, This is a great idea. Why haven't they accepted it yet? It's the PERFECT idea.
I being a founder on my forum, don't want to have to deal with these things on my own, I would love having people there for me to help me out! =D
Voted yes, and nice suggestion, 10/10 for your suggestion.

Thank you for your vote and your input on this and some one else asked if we could pick what staff use it and i was happy to add that.

just to add some members just use the sig just to show off there link to there site so with the edit settings you can remove the links and any other item to do with add's
If that member was to put it back again then you can warn them again or just remove there sig rights.

Re: should mods have the right to edit members signature's
I don't think moderators should automatically have the proper permissions to edit members' signatures -- I think it should be up to the admin to decide whether moderators should have this power or not. I did vote yes, but I do hope my suggestion is also implemented.

I have to agree, 100% yes! I think it would make it a lot easier for the Admins, the Admins have to deal with the more serious stuff while the mods should do this kinda thing

Re: should mods have the right to edit members signature's
In my opinion... I don't need this option, Since I've another Admin to handle this stuff, But looking at everybody's votes, I'm voting a YES, There's absolutely no need If I don't need the option nobody else does.
