Solved Deleted forum

Post by ComisarSS October 12th 2011, 9:18 pm

Hello
I hope i'am posting in the right sub-forum but in some i'am not allowed to post or it's just not giving any technical support...
Now i would had posted this problem earlier (when it happend) but only now i found out that there's a possibility.
Mon Apr 25, 2011 the forum where i'am an administrator "scorpion-freedns.2forum.biz" was hacked and deleted (well all the topics basically) users and sub-forums are still there but all the topics are gone which is bad because that is a Counter Strike forum and since the server itself has a problem remembering banned ip's the forum was the only data bank for them (that and the fact that we have to have hundreds of discussions all over again)...
I've heard that since it was hosted here 2 it might be a chanse that you guys can undo that child's stupidity...
Thanks for your attention.

You can restore a forum to an earlier date, but you have to be the founder of the forum. If the founder has not been on the forum for 6 months and one day, you can try to change ownership to yourself.

No, the owner is still there...
What does he have to do??? And if i'am an administrator with full rights (not a moderator) can't i do it?

Only the founder can restore the forum. The founder need to log into the Utilities Tool. Link: https://www.forumotion.com/en/utils/
and restore the forum. The founder will have to use the original email and password that were used to create the forum.
