Is there a way to display on the member list certain fields I want that are custom profile fields I made? For example to see their number of points or an image or their number of friends on the member list???

From what i know. I think it'll be impossible. Since the points field use only 1 variable. For the # of friends, there's no variable it do show Sad

Hi! Very Happy

It woul be possible only for some fields. For example field Name, or Rank. The only way to do this is to replace an existing/default filed with a new one. On our support forum Ina has created a tutorial in romanian:
http://help.forumgratuit.ro/t42054-afisarea-rangului-in-lista-de-membri
There is explained how you can edit an existing field (Humour is taken an example there). You should just change all the options (Name of field, URL icon etc.). Wink

How do I set them to display in the member list though? Anyone know codes to put certain fields in the member list display. I've edited coding before and may have removed certain codes to mod my site. I'm trying to see what all I can actually display for different fields like friends, points, custom fields, what else???

Well you can just edit one of the displayed profile fields that is shown on the memberlist.
For example I have replaced the humour profile field with location.
You can edit under users, profiles in your admin panel.

Yes but I need the codes for those fields in the member list because I removed a few in the past from my site coding.

Which profile field is it you are trying to display in the memberlist?

Well the profile fields such as real name, location or hobbies for example you could easy put in the member list.
As I said I changed where it says humour to location by editing the text.
Actually if you look at the memberlist here on this forum, you can see they have replaced it with hobbies.

Yes, I've done this but also like I said I had removed some of that coding on my memberlist so do you know any for it or any of the other fields?

Well if you want to change say the humour or join date profile fields to some thing like location, hobbies or real name.
That's just a case of changing the name of the profile field to something else.
But for fields like points those are different. You could change the posts profile field to read as points if that helps.
But it will still show as number of posts the members made not how many points they have earned.

I guess my question is a little more complex than just changing the names... I'm looking for codes to add in those fields on the member list like what are displayed on their profile. So if anyone can actually answer this with some help on it, please let me have it I'm definitely not new to codes, I've done a lot in the past. I could probably even find something for this but I'm wondering if I can ask on here first instead of spending tons of time on it that I don't have???

Ok, well i have a theory and maybe you could tell me if it would work or not. Try to find the code that is used on the profile for points, custom fields, etc. Then try adding that to the member list coding??

Well if you have Phpbb2 or Punbb you could try editing the templates.
Though you cannot do this with Invision or Phpbb3,only with Phpbb2 and Punbb.

Well I have visited your site and you have added a lot of customizations.
Maybe if you made your memberlist viewable to guests we could get an idea of what you are looking to customize.

I see now. You have added some custom fields. If you make the signature profile field as a text zone instead of text field members could then add bold or colored test, links or images to their signatures.
Though I also see you've done that with some other profile fields. As the message field on the far right shows an image.

Here is the thing, I would like to try to get more of their information that I need easy access to for things instead of going through each member. So is there a way I can see all of their custom fields instead of looking at each profile?

No not really, unless you go to the admin panel and look at their profiles from there.

Well on my forum there are some profile fields that are not editable by members. Then others that are not displayed at all on profiles.
If you click on each members name in your admin panel you will be able to see both their posts and profile signature.
You can also see their other settings, such as preferences. That is if the members has chosen to hide their online status or receive PMs from admins and members etc.
You can also disable profile features for individual members who abuse them, such as block a member from displaying an avatar or sending PMs.
You can also remove signatures from individual members who abuse them.

This is not correct. You can only remove the option for a signature from groups not individuals.

Yes, I know all this already and many more ways to edit stuff. i don't want to edit info, my question is that I'm trying to find a way to view information from custom fields and such for more than one member at once. I have hundreds of members and don't want to go through them each one at a time.

Mine already has a sort function, it includes all those options. If that had a way to show custom fields I have too, then it would solve the problem.

I meant that if you click on an individual members profile in the admin panel, you can see the signature he or she has put in their posts.
Then delete it. But yes you are right this does not disable the signature option for him.
As unless you put the member into a usergroup that is not allowed to have signatures he can put his signature back again.

DesignersSociety,
I would take a look at the link SLGray gave you,it may help.

I did, I already have mine sorted and that forum doesn't give the option for custom fields (which is what i need to get to easily!) I'm sorry but this forum seems to be going no where. I am not looking for a simple answer like renaming a field or sorting them because I could easily figure out all of that myself very quickly. This is a more advanced question that would involve using coding to either add user info for custom fields to the memberlist, or give me an easy way to see multiple users info for the custom fields all at once. I have an award system I created such as make 20 friends, buy 10 fashions, etc. I have custom fields on each profile that only I can edit but everyone can view. I would like a way so I can check several custom fields for several members at once instead of going into each profile to look. If anyone can give me some codes to do this or other ways, please let me know.
