Problems with Qoutes

Hi buttercup i have a problem with making a Quoting on my forum this has only just come to light from today

The problem is when you Quote a post it's not giving a gap under the Quote
Hope you understand my problem
and can help me on this one.

I think this only came as a problem after the new update.

You should not have to do that thou most of my members do not use that button and to ask them to keep doing that is silly there was a fix for this before and then FM fixed the problem and now its back again and this was only a problem now they have made the change to the Admin page.

yes this will be a work around but there is no need to a work round some thing that is a measly Fix on Fm's side.

Go to ACP ~> General ~> Messages and e-mails ~> Activate the WYSIWYG mode by default in the posts : No. Save this, now should be okay !

No thats not what we want the problem is when it's on

We do not have this turned off we always use it on our site
The problem is it was working before the update so why is it not working now.

If you can follow the advice here: Fix for Quote bug it should fix the problem without the need for users do anything, or to change in or out of WYSIWIG mode. I noticed this today and have implemented the fix in the link and can confirm it has corrected the problem.

Sorry for double posting my issue, I searched for 'Quote' but unfortunately a typo crept into the title of this thread and my search didn't find it...

Maybe the threads could be merged?

The problem is not showing on IE its is on Firefox thou
that fix will only work until the tech's fix the codes made there end.

Perhaps it is a Javascript for IE issue? This has worked for me on Safari for Mac, and on newer versions of Opera for Android. It isn't working on Opera Classic for Android, and presumably IE too.

Obviously, the ideal answer is for ForumMotion to find the source of the problem and repair it.

This problem has been fixed now thank you
Anyone with the fix to this problem must now remove the code for the update to work right.
