Solved How can I add buttons to my posts?

Post by Kimmy June 7th 2014, 4:06 am

I am not sure I am explaining it correctly. On a post, there is an option to quote, edit, etc. Can I add more to them? I am not too computer savvy and one of the mods who did this stuff is no longer with us. So I need "help for dummies". Thanks!

Hello,

Yes, it's possible!!

But the question is, what is the action of this button? To add a button he need to do something.. Or you just want to put it on there? xD

Best regards, Wagner

So... It's not simple like that...

What is your forum version? Where you want to put this button? And what is the text you want to put in this button? And more one time... What action this button will perform?

I would like a LIKE button. One that adds up how many times it is clicked.
And please forgive me….the administrator who used to handle this stuff left, so I have no clue what forum version we have. Can I find that somewhere? Thanks of your help.

Assuming you added the CSS codes from the tutorial, changing the color code ("#105289") on
Code:
background: #105289;
from
Code:
.LGlike {
  background: #105289;
 padding: 3px;
  border-radius: 4px;
  color: #fff;
  font-size: 10px;
  font-weight: bold;
  text-shadow: -1px 0.5px #888;
  box-shadow: 1px 1px 1px #888;
  cursor: pointer;
  margin-right: 4px;
 }
should work.
