Mod can't log in

I have a mod who has been a member for quite some time and now suddenly he can't log in, I have checked all the settings and can not see anything wrong. I have logged in myself as him and there are no issues but if he tries it wont have it? he has cleared all his history and cookies and still it won't allow him in? however he has registered in a new name and its allowed him in so what is wrong???

Edit He's tried all browsers and even a proxy but still has the same issue?

Change his password so he'll be able to log in again. He will have to change his password then.

It responds with incorrect user name or password

Typing it in, he's been away for almost a year and it was fine before he went.

He must be entering something wrong then because usually log in problems are related to our Anti Spam system but he's not getting any error messages relating to that.

Ok just had a reply from my mod and here it is......

I have a Simple little Acer i3 laptop, with quite a bit of grunt for it's size...I normally prefer Mozilla as a browser, but can switch to IE, if I want to. I have Win 8.1, Industry Pro (imbedded) and up until now has been working very well. The only problem recently encountered was the inability to post comments on YouTube channels...but that is now working fine.

Edit: I have just changed his user id and asked him to try again but he is still not being allowed in??????

If you could log in using the information then it has to be on the mod side. Could the mod be typing in the wrong information by accident.

No he's tried it over and over again and even got others to do it for him.

Have you tried reschronizing his account? He has tried clearing his browser cache and cookies correct?

It has to be something on his end, if everyone else can login but him, it definitelly has to be an issue on his end.

ACP->General->Configuration-> Scroll down until you see 'Reschronize user', enter his username and hit save.

I can almost gaurntee you that it is something on his end, just have to figure out what. Has he tried from a different device at all?

Look into your AP disabled users
AP-users and groups-> Users -> inactive users

You can reset his password and ask him to try again. There is absolutely no reason your member doesn't manage to connect Smile

Did you fix this yet? I had the same issue with a mod as well. He was getting worried. We found out it was a problem with his keyboard, that was switching some letters without his knowledge. It was fixed by typing his password in Wordpad and then pasting it.
