Solved Question regarding forum content.

Post by feelingchimpy November 20th 2015, 8:27 am

I apologize if this is posted in the wrong section, I'm having a tiny bit of trouble navigating this site.

I have created a roleplaying forum, and I have a question about forumotion's TOS, specifically types of content that are allowed.

Roleplays tend to go in every direction imaginable, and I want to be clear with my members what isn't allowed in roleplays. Specifically, what forumotion considers illicit/illegal content. Are things such as drug use, underage drinking, murder, etc allowed in a fictional roleplay setting, or should I make a note to tell my members not to include things of that nature in their roleplays? Basically, anything you're not allowed to do in real life, they're not allowed to make happen in their roleplays? I want to make sure that my members know exactly what they shouldn't be doing to avoid problems arising. I already prohibited sexual content, although I am used to forums allowing it in private messages. Should I prohibit that on my forum as well?

Thanks in advance for any help!

No sexual acts or images (This also includes pornography.)

For all other things that could be considered illegal acts, I would not take the chance that your forum could be ban.

Thanks for your help! I have read the Terms of Service, but wanted to make sure I knew exactly what Forumotion considers illegal acts, as that seems to vary from website to website. I'm typing up a section about this rule on my forum as I speak.
