People cant register

So my friend made a forum , and everybody who tries to register , it says that their name is taken
im not sure how i logged in but i hope i get some feed back.

What are the usernames people are trying to use when they register? If the usernames are too short or too simple, what you describe may happen.

Tell your friend as well, that he/she can make the frequency of this happening slow down by going to ACP (Admin panel)-->General-->Security--> 'Dis allow subscriptions with the most commonly used spam usernames?' , tick this to 'No' and save.

This should make the amount of usernames that are rejected by our system for your forum reduced and therefore make this happen a little less frequently.
