Donate function is not appearing in ACP

As usual the donate function is not appearing in my forum's ACP, I am understanding that is depending paypal but can we do something to fix it?

I see on some forums there is the page /buy-credits I think this a part of our forums ACP, how paypal can be enable it or disable it? Have paypal access on our forums ACPs? This procedure is a little bit confused and complicated on my mind. Can you please explain me how this procedure working?

If members are placing paypal widget all of the transactions moving direct to members cards and they are not passing into forum account to be used for forum services by spending credits. Can we fix this issue please?

You can get the PayPal link in the administration panel and use it to create a widget and link for members to donate to the forum.

No paypal don't have the use of your ACP the tech team have removed it in some forums as paypal have made a rule to only let some parts of the world use the tool so the team took it on them self to remove it from them listed by paypal.

I think if you make a donate button on a new paypal account you can pick if you want the money to go in your bank or stay in your paypal account but not 100% sure.

@APE do you know how paypal is working on our forums or which parts must be available to enable it?
I have been confused because I didn't understand their criteria.

If you still have it, it would be in the AP > Misc. > Credits Management > Buy Credits.

@SLGray I have the option to buy credits but I don't have the option to enable donations in ACP and on forum footer link too.

You can use the link for PayPal in the AP and create one for your members.

@SLGray is there a tutorial about how to develop it?

When I am pressing the paypal button it is redirecting me here away from my acp.

I believe PayPal has changed things and so has Forumotion.  I believe this option is no longer good to use.  I mean using the link form the AP.

Do you mean you want to enable donations in the footer for members? Or just in the admin panel?

If you mean the footer, then if you have a new forum (atleast 2015 or sooner) then the option to put a donation link the footer will not appear because forumotion has officially done away with this option on all new forums.

Most older forums that created before the change went into effect a couple years back, will stay have the option. No new forums do though.

Buying credits is only possible for admins through the admin panel on newer forums now.

Yes exactly that I mean the link on footer for the members' donations I was created a my new forum about before a year. So as I am undestanding this option is unable to be activated on my new forum.

So in this case I will visit paypal's developers center to find all of the necessary details to develop my donate widget for my forum to resolve this as there is no solution available.

That is correct, at some point (I dont know when, but it was atleast 2015), forumotion decided to do away with this option for all new forums and only the older forums still have it.

That said, yes unfortunatelly that feature is unavailable for new forums, however, you can create your own paypal donation button if you want. I am not sure how to do this exactly, but I know it can be done.
