Forum name changed

Hello!

I really don't know where should I put this, but I give it a go.
Our forum name was narutohun.niceboard.org, but today it is narutohun.forumotion.biz. I looked after it on the admin panel, and I can't change it back, because there are just two options: forumotion.biz and hungarianforum.com.
My question is what happened? And can I do anything about it?

Are you the founder of the forum?

I can not locate a forum in the database with this address: narutohun.niceboard.org

No, our founder is gone, but the administrators can use the profile.
This is the new link now: http://narutohun.forumotion.biz/ But it was niceboard.org. And because of the name change, every link which referred to the original name is gone.

What exactly do you mean by this?

Our founder gave the administrator a password to use his profile, because he has no time for the site for a long time.

When did you notice this? Also did you get any kind of email from the forum before this?

No, we didn't get any mails. Yesterday it was the original name, and in the afternoon a player told us that 'did you guys see our site name is different?' Well... after he told this, we noticed it too. Very Happy

Yes, they can login to their own accounts, but the passwords they have were saved on the original site, now we have to save it again or give them new passwords if they don't remember it.

Is there any other admins who could have changed the url?

Only other way would be if maybe head office changed it cause they dont support the old anymore or something, but I dont know why they wouldn't puf a re direct to the new one if that was the case.

If there is any other admins that could have changed this that may explain it. I would check the administration logs to see if there is any changes listed there.

They can change it, but no one did that, I checked it.

Or did they change their name as well? Because when I write niceboard.org and click on Create a forum, it puts me onto forumotion.com .

There is some reorganization of creation domain names.

Also please try not to double post. You can use the edit button.

Some domains won't be able anymore, including the one you used, Your forum will be redirected automatically (without any loss of SEO visibility) to its new domain.
