Forum possibly deleted

Hello,
I use to have the following forum: starsmydestination.forumotion.com, under the username TheChin!. I haven't used it since April of 2018 and I was about to start using it again. When I went to the link, it now says it doesn't exist. I didn't get any emails informing I needed to do something to save it, is it really gone?

I did communicate with APE. But I'm unclear what you mean by 'delete it', the communication with APE or this thread?

If you have already started the communication with Ape, then I would recommend just letting Ape handle it now.

What SLGray meant was if you wanted to pm him instead of Ape you should delete the pm you sent to Ape so that there wouldn't be any confusion.

At this point it would just be easier for you to let Ape assist you with this matter.

I guess I don't understand. I never received an email about a rules violation and the forum existed for a long time. Did spammers get on it or something? I know I left it alone for too long, but I would have thought I would at least get a message telling me to clean up whatever is wrong. I know using a free service doesn't give me much to expect, but I did have a lot of content on there I used for my game group and was starting back up again. I don't suppose there is an xml dump of the forum I can get to extract info from?

You do not receive an email.  There is a message in your administration panel on the forum.  This only happens if it is only a minor violation.  If it is a major violation, the forum is ban without any warning.

So, the moral of the story is that the forum is gone and all its content is permanently deleted?

The only thing you can do, if it still lets you is try and appeal the decision: https://help.forumotion.com/t69823-onlineguardian-what-to-do .

If the appeal is refused, then yes the forum is gone forever. If it is accepted then the forum is restored. From our experience though, appeals being accepted are very rare, so don't get your hopes up.

I don't know how long ago it was banned, but if it was like a year ago or something, it is possible it is too late to appeal and it's already gone. It all depends if you get the online guardian screen.

There is no Onlineguardian screen.  It is the forum does not exist page.
