I cannot send out invites to my forum.

When the problem appeared : It happened yesterday when I tried to send out an invite to a friend.

Description of problem

I am unable to send out invites to my forum. Is this because I have the free version? Also a member cannot register for my forum. Have I done something wrong? Thank you.

As your forum is not ready to get new members your invites system will not work, it has to be that you can get new members to get this to work.
This is a Free system for all forums no matter what package you have.

I have the settings set up, but it is not working. What am I doing wrong.

Is there something that I need to do to make it invite ready? This is not what I am trying to figure out. Thank you.

Are you doing this: AP > General > Forum Promotion > Invite Friends? That is the only invite system we have.

Yes, I have, but I have not seen the invite friends under the forum promotion.

ok when I click on the general tab this is what I see.

To invite anyone I have to copy and paste the forum link into a document and sent it to my friends.

Are you in advanced mode in the AP? We can not see the AP as guests. Also are you using the founder's account?

Yes, I am and if that is what it is the founders account then yes. I am the owner of the forum.

The guests shows up under general > forum promotion > traffic exchange. If that helps.

Wait a minute! Did you send 2 invitations right before this happened?

I asked because of this message in the AP:

You can make up to 2 sending operations per day. Each email sending includes a maximum of 10 invitations.

No, I was not able to. I copied and pasted the links for the forum yesterday and I did that 3 times using the url address from the browser.

I have never done this before, so I am not sure if I am setting up the forum correctly and if there is something else that I am not doing that I may be missing. I am not a computer expert so some of the language is confusing to me.

Copying and pasting the link should work just fine (that's what I do to share my forum). As for them not being able to register, are they getting a specific error message when they try to register?

Yes, they were getting an error about being bots until, I turned off the forum on holiday. Then I copy and pasting the link from the browser, so that has worked for them to register. So if I do it that way then I should not have a problem. I think. This is all new to me so, I am learning as I go. Thank you!!
