I just got through reading the " SOLVED " post .

https://help.forumotion.com/t157295-capcha?highlight=capcha

Interesting responses . Having built an extremely massively filled forum with literally 10's of thousands of high volume repeated actions of my own . I have never seen this before today .

Sudden CAPCHA Antispammer Screen13

I was bouncing around . Editing and still restoring some of my file archives that got mysteriously corrupted earlier this year . When this CAPCHA popped up . I clicked it and my post was approved . OMG thank you . Lol . I thought it was odd . I had never seen it in 9 years of hard core posting . As I mostly use my site as a massive personal storage site .

I had almost forgotten the CAPCHA . When it occurred again about an hour later . Then again in another hour .

I see The Godfathers explanation . It makes the most sense . But in all my years . I have never seen that before . Or you know I would have been posting here right away .

Has something changed ? I mean I am the only full admin . And at this point . The only member using the forum . How could that anti spammer possibly detect me as a spammer ? Or anything abnormal in my actions ? With no questionable content whatsoever .

 Thank you

The behaviour described is completely normal. It's not new and has been available on our forums since the creation of our service. It has nothing to do with repeated user actions and even less with SEO! It is a pure and simple anti-spam measure that is triggered if the system detects abnormal behaviour, especially in terms of posted content.

Are you the only one posting (active) of all the members?  Also was there a long time between visits?

Hi,

Can you edit a post for which you completed the captcha and tell us if it still require captcha when you submit your edit ?

If yes, please post the whole content on that post here between hide tags
Code:
[hide]Content od your post ...[/hide]

You should also complete a captcha here if my hypothesis is the good one.

I only have about a half an hour . I will try a couple few " edits and transfers " which is all I was doing . I brought no new content in during the time I saw the CAPCHA's .
If it happens I will copy the post and bring it here .
You're saying that whatever content the post has . It will CAPCHA here the same as it would in my forum ? Interesting . I don't think it will . As there has been no content that would trigger it . But we will see .

When this was happening, were you in the AP changing things, especially profiles?

This happened 3 times yesterday. No I was not in the AP at all . Lol . And why would I change profiles ? I never even look at them .
I spent about 4 hours editing and restoring those corrupted posts . Where there were those weird codes that had posted the name of the post where the avatars and country and time stamp had been . Like these .

Sudden CAPCHA Antispammer Memori11

So all I do is delete the codes which in edit mode look like crashed icons .
That's it .
See that little icon under the American flag ?

All I do is delete that . And it restores the post . Most of the time . Sometimes theres a couple other icons I have to delete .

There were hundreds if not thousands of those corrupt posts . In order to resore them . I have to do them 1 post at a time . I do some each week .

If you are trying to find something I did . You will not be able to . The above routine is what I have been doing the entirety of this year . That is all .

Thousands of edited posts . Only yesterday I saw the CAPCHA for the very first time since 2013 . I don't think at this point . That I will concern myself with it . I believe it was a fluke .

Thank you

The reason for that is because you made a number of changes to old posts and to soon.

Our system looks at the time it takes to make this change by one person and then will think if it's to fast or a number of change the same was made as the account could be hacked or a bot account is took over the account so it then protects the account and posts by asking you if you are a bot.

That is why you have got this.

You basically Hit our safety limits when making your edit's / Changes / posts.

This is not new at all we have had this for some time you was just lucky not to have this warning before now.

That makes sense . I am sure you are correct .

Years ago when I created the site . For the first several years . I had hard wire , high speed ethernet , internet .

Everything I have is so slow now . WiFi A fraction of the speed . I literally have to wait a minute or 2 for each post , page , pic , gif , meme , or video to load . Sometimes several minutes .

Thank you .

My advice is just slow down when making a change to the old posts and limit your movements on the account then this should stop happening.

Is this now solved ?
