not receiving emails from forum posts

This is something that has not occurred and I'm not sure why it's happening now. Although it is true I have very little form activity. But when I do, and somebody makes a post or a response or a new topic. I am sure that I always got an email notification stating that someone had made a response and and a link to it.

There have been several in the last day or two posted in the forum. Of which I received no notifications.

I looked in my AP and couldn't find anything that would correspond to that. I'm sure I'm just overlooking it. Please help

Did you check the spam folder?

Also, check the profile settings in the Notifications section.

Yes I have checked all . No problems on this end . Nothing in spam .

Okay . Thank you for that . It is very concerning . I hope you figure it out .

I had a similar issue with another site . I had Google one tech , go through my account with me and also check on their end . They found nothing wrong with my gmail settings .

They suggested that the servers could have filters . What ever that means ?

FYI . As early as Wed, Sep 14, 4:27 AM (7 days ago) . I received a new user registration email notification . So it must be recent . Although it could be a separate notification than the forum replies lol . IDK .

Hello @azwiz,

Could you please go in your Profile > Notifications, remouve all the items (as if you did not want to receive notifications), then save it. And then check again the items you want (save again). Sometimes it helps to reset the parameters.

If after this operation you still don't get any notifications, then send me please a PM with this information :

- Forum URL
- your nickname on the forum
- email address associated with this user
- some examples of topics (URL) you are watching and do not receive any notifications

I am responding to your reply via my phone. Because I'm at lunch. Normally I do not use my phone for anything. Especially my forum. In which I am the founder and the only administrator. I am not sure which profile you are requesting that I clear my notifications from. But my forum support post is in regards to my PC access to my forum. If you were referring to my mobile profile. I just looked and I have 178 apps. But again it is not a mobile problem that I am referring to. I just want to be sure and be clear on what it is you are requesting.

I am already confused . You do mean my profile in my forum ? If so . I am not seeing the option for notifications . Also it may be sometime before I would be able to report whether or not I am or am nor receiving notifications . As there is no telling when there may be somw activity .

I am also assuming that administrators do not receive notifications for their own activity ? As I never have , never wanted to .

I am not trying to be difficult . I have no technical experience . Other than blindly piecing my own site together . With valuable help from this support forum . That was 8 , 9 , 10 years ago . I have easily forgotten anything that I knew then .

So without any current activity . It won't be easy to know when or if this issue is solved . Sorry .

Go to your profile on the forum and uncheck the boxes for notifications. click save, check the boxes again, and click save.

As I told you now by PM, to be notified, - if you have choosen this type of notifications, - you have to watch a topic, or have posted in a topic, or watch a forum (= one of the sections of your forum).

You gave me for example a topic posted in a forum which you did not watch. So you could not receive any notification about it. Smile

I have full Admin and you are saying that posts can be made without notifting me . Never has that been the case in 10 years .

Yes . As I explained . The 2 posts were made in a watched Forum . As usual it was unrelated to their topic . And as I always do , I moved the posts to recently created Forum . One which may not have been marked as watched .

So I am still baffled as to why I did not receive the email notifications .

And I also cannot find where it says that after enabling all notifications for any reason . I will not receive notifications if the Forum is not being watched . This is new to me . But is not related . As those posts were in a watched forum .

I am not just stubborn , but I am right . It is clear that I won't be getting any answers until this known issue is solved .

(Just a little note here, for future, even if the topic is archived : If you have received a notification about this unwatched topic, it is because you are watching the forum where it was posted ("F4 Current Events ,,Announcemets , Bulletin Board , 2 Pages"). The feature "receive notifications about ALL posts on the forum" have never existed on Forumotion. Even if you are Admin, you don't receive automatically notifications about all posts and replies Cool
