Why ads are changed?

It used to be simple to enable the forumotion ads on a forum without also loading the 100 scripts, files and so on by modifiying a template a lil bit. Now I had to dig through your stinky code for an hour to figure it out. When are you planning to stop modifying things that dont need to be modified?

No, I do not. And I think this post should have stayed where it initially was.

What I meant is that they changed the code that makes ads working on a forum, which means that editing the overall_header template to remove the junk that was added there is a pain.

I know this topic wont change anything but I was a bit triggered so thats why I wrote it.

Removing the ad's on the forum with out paying for them to be removed is breaking our TOS and rules your forum will be banned if found our. we use the ad's to make money without the ad's we would close down.

Thanks for telling me what I already know. Maybe you should read the topic again. In the overall_header template a lot of files(css files, javascript files etc.) are added, making forumotion forums slow. Those codes can only be removed as a whole. Some of them are needed for the ads, so I have to add them back. That used to be as simple as adding a line of code. I had to dig through crappy code for an hour to do this now. I dont understand why would anybody modify something that already works. Anyway, since you dont even seem to understand what I'm trying to say, do whatever you want with the topic.

We are just volunteer staff members who help run the support forum, no one except the godfather works directly for Forumotion.

We have no control over serverside code changes.

I know that. You can trash the topic if you want. I was a bit mad when I wrote the topic. I guess I should have known it aint gonna do nothing.
