My suggestion:

User select an avatar in registration form.
On the registration form created a place to select "no avatar" or upload your own avatar

So, users can choose an avatar from the forum or from somewhere else.

What do you think?

I want the user to choose "no avatar" or take from other places on registration form.

user can select a "no avatar" of some "no avatar"

It's very simple suggestion...
