Lost my C-Name Domain Redirect
Sometime yesterday my domain stopped redirecting to my outside hosting.
Seems like someone wiped out the C-Name redirect record. Please fix it?

Seems to be popping back and forth between working and not working... any ideas what's going on?

Any admins... mods??
If you didn't have your "No domain transfers policy" this wouldn't be an issue b/c i'd be managing it myself. How about some service.

Hello,
How is the no domain transfer deal with a outside domain? As for domain stop working, I cannot say since the staff don't have answers to this. Sorry about that.
Please don’t double and or triple post. Post need to be separated by 24 hours before bumping, replying or adding more information. Please use the edit button. |

Re: Lost my C-Name Domain Redirect
I stopped using the free forums, and am hosting my own site now. You guys own my domain name so I had you setup a C-NAME redirect to my own host.
Like I said, it has somehow been broken and now points back to my unused free forum here.
And my point with the domain transfer is the fact if I was in possession of my domain name i'd have been able to fix this hours ago.

Re: Lost my C-Name Domain Redirect
Could it be that the domain name has expired?

Re: Lost my C-Name Domain Redirect
If that were the case my domain would be going to go-daddy telling me it needed to be renewed... not going to the wrong place.

Can you give us the forum url, so we can see where it gets redirected to?

Re: Lost my C-Name Domain Redirect
Ok I'm about to lose my patience here.
I may not be running a very big forum, but it's still 200 local people that rely on my forum to organize local events and meetups.
I have over-paid you guys TWICE for this domain... becuase I couldn't buy it from you instead of renewing without waiting 30 days for bidding and risking loosing it blah blah blah...
When I tried to domain transfer a year ago I got ignored, when I tried a few months ago I got told you no longer support it.
NOW you're trying to tell me the domain I PAID for, can't be used with my ACTUAL forum.
I'm not one of your typical ignorant user-base that have no idea what's going on, I'm a web administrator. I know how these things work. It's been working for the past two years just fine, until someone broke it. All I want is for someone to fix it like it was until you start offering domain transfers again so I can stop having to deal with you people.
This is not complicated. Login to your go-daddy account, and point my damn domain at my REAL forum like it was. http://www.shagbarkranch.com/NWAMS/
