Filtering 'new posts' results

Wondering if this is possible..... probably not but its worth a mention...


Is it possible to create a link in the nav bar that will find new posts IN A CATAGORY SECTION OF THE SITE, say Motorsport for example.....

I have some forums contained in that catagory which I would also like included in the search results....


Creating a group is NOT an option, please do not mention it, I have already tried it and my various other 'auto add' groups make it impossible to do using groups.....

I need to create a custom link as I want it to apply to a certain section of the site, not all sections....



Basically my problem is I have a section called general chat and some of my site members would NOT like to see threads in this section in the new posts as they class them as spam, since it is a Honda based website, they feel it should be more car related so I am trying to filter out the 'spam' threads for them.
