is there a way to back up my forum esotericmagick in case of a hack? some ex members got into the panel left a message at the forum and then deleted themselves. they should have not be able to delete themselves . is there ant way i can keep ex members from coming in. also the ex members who were banned are sending spammer pms as guests to my pm box from other places. if this is in the wrong place then please move it. these ex members are continually spamming my pm box. how can i stop all this and can i do a back up of the forum thank you

User are allowed to delete their account if they wish. But you can disable the option in User & Groups // User Options

If you want users to stop using the contact form you can disable it by going to General // e-mails and contact form

i did not see any disable user in user options. bear with me i am not good at this.

Allow members to unsubscribe : No

To disable the contact link:

it is checked no and still the member was able to deactivate himself, none of the staff did it.

You can't stop it.

Then they used the tool that allows users to delete their account. No way to stop it.
