Changing Navigation Pictures to Text?

Hello,

Forum themes with pictures as the navigation annoy me. Is there a way to replace the image with text only?

Then possibly change the color of it?

For just text:
Administration Panel > Display > Homepage > Headers & Navigation
Display only images in the navbar : No
