Moderators should be able to edit 'Points' Empty Moderators should be able to edit 'Points'

Post by Acara Games May 21st 2012, 11:54 pm

In my forum and most other forums the 'points' or as I call it in my forum 'karma' is very important to the players and it is a representation of your online reputation. Unfortunately there is no default value for this. I find that odd considering that the reputation system has a default value. I propose that we have a default value for that. I also believe that moderators should be able to edit points of a player on the forum. To limit mods abusing this maybe there can be a setting where you can turn off or on the mods right to do this.

Thanks for reading and please take it into consideration,

I think that everyone should be able to donate their points to a certain person.

There is a place to enter a default value for reputation.
Administration Panel > Modules > Points & Reputation > Reputation
Default Value:

Moderators should be able to edit 'Points' Slgray10

Slg yes but my idea says there should be a default value for the Points, not Reputation. Sorry for not being clear enough

It is easy to edit points.
Admin Panel -->Modules-->Points and Reputation-->Points Donation
Simply type the username of the member you wish to alters points, and change their points to whatever you want. I do not think that Mods can do this, only Administrators, so they would have to have access to the Admin Panel. I do vote that we should have a Default Value.

YES a moderator control panel would be soooo helpful.

I had to hire a Banker and Vendor for my site to run the site shop where they purchase custom content and other items with their tokens because I cant keep up alone. Sooo allowing a moderator to do this without making them admin, would be SOOOO helpful!

Moderators should be able to edit 'Points' Empty Re: Moderators should be able to edit 'Points'

Post by Ape June 2nd 2012, 10:30 pm

It would be nice to have a way for mods to edit points so its not all down to your admins' but if we had An auto shop the points would go down on there own if you was to buy anything but right now if you want to buy anything you have to get the admin to go all the way in the ACP to remove them and it's just silly

So yes If it's going to stay this way then why not get the mods to help out with it Wink or give just one or two mods the rights to edit it ones you really trust to do it

So my Votes yes Wink
